Academics

Primary Level (Class 1 to 4)

The primary curriculum adheres to the NCERT framework in alignment with the CBSE syllabus. It encompasses two main subjects: the first language, which is English, and the second language, Hindi. The curriculum focuses on nurturing fundamental number concepts, elementary geometry, and fostering mental math skills. Environmental Science is introduced to students through engaging activities, observations, and hands-on discovery, allowing them to explore the realm of science. Moreover, students are introduced to the world of computers, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience, thus preparing them for a seamless journey into the interconnected world of learning. In addition to core academic subjects, students also benefit from a well-rounded education that includes value education, arts and crafts, music, contemporary dance, as well as a variety of sports activities, ensuring their holistic development.

Middle Level (Class 5 to 8)

At the primary level, students engage in the study of core subjects, accompanied by an additional language. The school adheres to the CBSE’s three-language policy, and at this stage, Sanskrit is offered as the third language option. In Grade 5, students have the flexibility to choose one of these languages. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on written expression across various subjects and provides a comprehensive introduction to General Science and Social Studies, encompassing History, Geography, and Civics. This approach helps students gain a broader understanding of the world around them.

Furthermore, students are encouraged to learn through experimentation and practical activities, with the curriculum designed to promote teamwork. Basic concepts in Mathematics and Science are taught through hands-on activities in dedicated Math and Science laboratories. Projects and the integration of information and communication technology (ICT) into the learning process play a prominent role in this phase of their education.

Secondary Level (Class 9 & 10)

The school follows an integrated two year curriculum and assessment by CBSE. This scheme aims at the holistic development of students. This strategy paves way for regular and continuous evaluation whereby keeping track of the academics and helping them improve consistently.

Along with regular examinations, emphasis is also given to projects, PPT presentations, seminars, and similar activities that are also a part of the curriculum. These are meant to enhance the way the students think and perceive. This will help them make their choices as they move on to choose from the Science and Commerce streams at the Senior Secondary level.

For the all-round development of children, the students are encouraged to take part in various activities that are held in the school. Ranging from sports to music and dance, the students are given the platform to identify and develop their interests.

The students have constantly won many inter school competitions and bought laurels to the school. The students are grouped into four houses Radhakrishna, Vivekananda, Tagore and Teresa. This cultivates a sense of belonging and builds an attitude for team work. The students are assigned to be part of the houses from class 1 onwards.
